Anonymisation makes it impossible to re-identify a person, so the data is no longer subject to the GDPR. Pseudonymisation replaces names and identifiers with aliases, with a matching key stored separately, so the data remains personal and the GDPR still applies. Both techniques reduce risk before data is sent to an AI model.
